Greetings Family and All Dennis Dolphins! Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year & the return of our JLD PTO newsletters. We missed you! There are important annoucements below, including the schedule for the Device Pick-Up! You may have already seen the bulk of the handy information included below, but better safe than sorry. As we learn anything more in the coming days, we will be sure to echo all important messages from the school & district to help keep everyone up-to-date! Please also keep an eye on our Facebook page for any updates or notices.

Once you have your student's new teacher name, please be sure to reverify your account information & update your student's info in Membership Toolkit so you don't miss out on any important updates! You can visit our website www.jldpto.com anytime and click the "login" tab to access our Membership Toolkit portal. Welcome our New PTO Board Members!

Please visit the "about us" page on our website www.jldpto.com to see an introduction to all the 2020-2021 JLD PTO Board Members and Committee Chairs! We know this year is going to be different. But with this team of individuals (and parents like you) supporting the school and eachother, it's still going to be awesome year!!

First Day of School - Thursday Aug. 27th

Putnam City Schools Board of Education voted to change the school calendar. The first day of school is moved from August 21, 2020 to August 27, 2020. The purpose of the change is to allow teachers more time to prepare for distance learning due to the current COVID conditions.

Enrollment is ONLINE this Year

If you have'nt already, please visit the district website Enrollment Page to complete the online enrollment process for your student(s).

Putnam City - Return To Learn Plan

Most importantly, please view the Return-to-Learn UPDATE, which explains traditional classes will be via "Distance Learning" for the first 9 weeks even more info on questions you may have for starting the year - including meal program, special education, device pick-up etc. Be sure to enroll / verify enrollment by August 21st to be able to pick up your devices next week! Please see the district website for full details on the Return-to-Learn plan. Students have the option to enroll in Traditional -or- Virtual school.

Distance Learning - A Day in the Life Of

The District has released what Distance Learning will look like for your student's age group specifically. Please follow the A Day in the Life Of link to find your child's age group information.
