Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 25th thru 29th. There's no school the week of Thanksgiving. ***** Winter Break: Dec. 23rd - Jan. 6th The last day of school before winter break is Friday, December 20th. Classes will resume again January 7th.
| Hello Dennis Dolphin Community! Time has flown by so fast and now the holiday season is upon us. We have lots of fun things coming up before the kids are out for winter break and want to make sure that you know all about it! See the sections below for details & dates of upcoming events like the Food Drive, Turkey Grams, Care Share, Holiday Classroom Parties, Santa Store and Dinning with Dolphins night for November and December.
Food Drive - The last day of the food drive is this Friday, November 15th. Send any cash or food donations to school with your student no later than Friday Morning. PTO will annouce the sno-cone winner by Monday!
Turkey Grams will be available next week for $1 each! We are accepting cash only for these Thanksgiving themed candy grams. Students can visit the Turkey Grams table during their lunch period to place orders for fellow students, teachers or staff at JLD. They will be delivered to classrooms each day. Turkey Grams are fun way to give and say Thanks! Please Note: We need volunteers to help us cover the table during the lunch period each day.
CareShare starts November 18th. We will be sending flyers home by next Monday that outline information about each classroom's adopted child-in-need. For more information and full details, please visitJLD CareShare.
Classroom Holiday Parties are on December 20th. Envelopes will be coming home after Thanksgiving Break to help collect cash donations for your student's classroom holiday party. You can also opt to donate online for your student's holiday classroom parties by visiting the store via the app or our website. Just visit the "Login" tab at www.jldpto.com. *If you are a homeroom parent, you will be hearing more information soon from our homeroom parent coordinator Amber Anthony.
The Santa Store is a unique opportunity for students to shop for friends and family members during the holiday season. For them to visit the santa store during their lunch break to purchase gifts, you can send money to school with your student (or add money to their account online using the Santa Store Allowance item available in thestore). Items in the store vary in a wide variety of price ranges so the students have a great selection of gifts! *Volunteers are needed during this event to help the students manage their money, choose gifts and wrap their presents.
Dinning with Dolphins at The Garage November 19th December 24th The Garage donates 10% of ALL sales between 6-9pm! Both Dine-in or carry out apply. Have a fun family dinner out while supporting our school!
